North Atlantic Drilling

The DP West Alpha was hired by Exxon Mobil to operate in the Arctic waters of the Kara Sea.

Due to the stringent rules on wastewater discharges in the Kara Sea by the Russian authorities the client decided to install a STP based on the membrane technology. The order for a complete STP based on 120 Persons was granted because of our experiences in the Caspian Sea.  

The complete wastewater treatment installation was installed on board during the docking period in the town of Oma (near Stavanger) –Norway. The West Alpha is now in operation in the North Sea (Norwegian part).
